Supplemental Staffing
Supplemental staffing is for longer-term assignments that do not justify an increased FTE head count. QCM will help you to identify local resources with the required skills and thereby avoid high turnover rates resulting from hiring individuals who are overqualified. Additionally, we can help you tap into a more geographically divers pool of candidates by facilitating long-term, remote employment through the use of a secure VPN.
Project Based Staffing
QCM can help with the development of project-based teams that feature a variety of skill sets and that are designed to meet specific needs (for a fixed period of time) and to complement the strengths and skills of your internal teams.
Fractional or Scheduled Staffing
Fractional or scheduled staffing is using the same person on a rotating basis. For instance you may require a networking guru to work through a project backlog or to mentor your employees in various architecture and security issues. Or you may require the assistance of an AS/400 system specialist who knows your organization, but you may not have the volume of work to justify an additional FTE.
Typical fractional assignments might be for one day a week and involve highly specialized people who can supplement your staff while providing part-time architectural leadership and efficiency. This resource enables you to expand your team's capabilities without the expense of additional full-time employees.
Reverse Outsourcing
Reverse Outsourcing is our term for fractional or scheduled staffing when we utilize your employee with our other clients while you retain the employee on a scheduled basis. This scenario can work well when only a small portion of the specialist's time is spent on projects requiring high skill levels. Additionally, it may help you to retain specific skills when specific staff members are vulnerable to offers of higher pay and more challenging work.
Supplemental Project Team Package
"Supplemental project team packages" are teams of specialists hired for productive, cost-effective, and timely completion of IT projects. Investments in these supplemental teams are typically made on a monthly fixed-price basis. The teams are not set up for leadership or architecture design, so much as they are intended to help accelerate comletion of key projects. The type of work is usually transitory or non-core in nature, such as on-time migration activity. A supplemental team typically includes one on-site lead, two to five off-site specialists, and a project supervisor.
